Nobody likes feeling obligated to do something, like if you say "no, thank you" someone will be upset. These invitations to our wedding are just that - invitations!! You have the freedom to say yes, and the ability to say no. We know that for SO many of our guests, it would require a significant amount of time, energy, and money to join us for our special day. We would absolutely LOVE to have you there with us, and won't love you any less if it doesn't work for you this year!

I like to say this is a ~creative~ wedding. You can expect the big pieces to be the same, with a few small twists to keep it fun and make sure that it suits our relationship!
As much as we love kiddos (and plan to have our own some day), we ask that this event be just for our adult friends. Hopefully you can enjoy an evening to yourselves and reconnect just as a couple!
The welcome event at Sicily's is casual and jeans are welcome! The wedding itself is cocktail attire please. The venues only ~requirements~ are that there are no shorts or hoodies (which we think is an appropriate request, although if anybody wants to test their ability to enforce boundaries, you have our support😂) A NOTE FOR THE LADIES: the venue requires shoes throughout the evening, which means no leaving your pumps at the table while you crush the dance-floor. We will have an assortment of new flip-flops available, but you may want to consider wearing comfortable shoes OR bringing your own favorite pair of flats for dance time!
NOPE. Nothing is mandatory! We appreciate everyone traveling to help us celebrate our day, and understand if you can only attend the ceremony and reception.

We have hotel room-blocks with two spaces (see travel page for discount codes) 1) The Inn at Middletown - which is where the After Party will take place, and is also walking distance to the Welcome Event at Sicily Coal Fired Pizza. The Inn at Middletown is a 15 minute drive to the venue. 2) As well as The SpringHill Suites Hartford/Cromwell which is a 10 minutes drive to the Welcome Event and 15 minute drive to the venue. There are also many other accommodations in the area that you are welcome to explore. We've listed a few here for your convenience. Given the amount of accommodation options, we are asking guests to find their own way to and from the venue. The US isn't exactly known for its stellar public transit systems. It IS possible from the various airports, although for ease and simplicity we would recommend a rental car for your stay if you are flying in to join us. We fully believe in your planning abilities and are here to help if there are questions :)
