FAQs

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 3:30 PM — the ceremony begins promptly at 3:45 PM. Parking and seating take a few minutes to settle, and we don’t want anyone walking in behind the bride.

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Honeybee at Hopkins Heartland 30249 Fisher Road, Milton, Delaware 19968 The venue sits on a working farm surrounded by open fields. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see the Hopkins Heartland marquee sign that reads “Mackenzie & Will.” Follow the gravel drive and pull all the way around to the parking area — attendants will help direct you once you arrive.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

Dinner will be catered by a local favorite and served buffet-style — a full meal with plenty of options and a few touches that feel like us.

Question

Will there be drinks?

Answer

Yes — a full bar with beer, wine, and signature cocktails. Please bring ID; the bar will close shortly before the send-off.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

The reception will be adults only, but babies and small children in the family or wedding party are welcome for the ceremony. Of course, baby Austen will be there, but he's a special guest ;)

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes — free parking on site. The lot is gravel and grass, so drive slowly and wear practical shoes. Follow the main loop road around the property to the designated parking area — attendants will guide you when you arrive.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Lewes and Rehoboth have plenty of hotels, rentals, and bed-and-breakfasts within 15 minutes of the venue. We’ll include recommendations on the Travel page.

Question

How do we RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP through our wedding website (QR code on your invitation). You can note dietary preferences and song requests there.

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

Your love and presence are truly the best gift. For those who wish to contribute, we’ve set up a honeymoon fund toward our trip to Austin, Texas — you’ll find the link on our Registry page.

Question

What's the weather like in Delaware in October?

Answer

Mild and coastal — usually 70s by day, 60s by night. Bring a jacket once the sun goes down.

Question

Can we take photos or videos?

Answer

Please keep phones tucked away during the ceremony — our photographer has it covered. Afterward, take and share as many as you like.

Question

What's the vibe of the day?

Answer

Western elegance meets Delaware farmland — burnt orange, cowhide, barbed wire accents, and a laid-back celebration with good food, music, and people who actually want to be there. Mackenzie is DIY-ing most of the décor with the help of family and friends, so expect personal touches and handmade details throughout the day.
