FAQs

Question

Where should we park?

Answer

Thankfully, the Catholic Church right up 101 close to the venue, St. Peter The Fisherman, is letting us use their parking lot on Saturday as parking. The address of the church is 79441 US 101, Arch Cape, OR 97102. When you get there, one of our lovely helpers will come pick you up and bring you to the venue! I'll provide the phone number of who to call or text closer to the date.

Question

Where should we look for places to stay?

Answer

Seaside, Oregon has more affordable options to stay. Astoria, Oregon also has affordable places, but it's about an hour away from the venue. Cannon Beach may also have some places, but they are likely more pricey. Manzanita down south has some places too. If staying at the coast for Friday and Saturday night is just too expensive (this weekend has the nicest weather, so the prices are very expensive), you could also stay in Portland on Friday night (it's only about an hour, forty minutes away if you stay on the west side), and then just spend the night of the wedding on the coast.

Question

What time should we be there?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:30 pm, so we recommend getting there between 3:30 pm and 4 pm. You can always come earlier and hang out at the beach before the ceremony!

Question

Is there a dress code? What does "dressy casual" mean?

Answer

Our celebration is relaxed but festive! Think “nice dinner out” or “garden party.” Feel free to dress comfortably while still looking celebration-ready — dresses, button-downs, Aloha shirts, khakis, slacks, and jumpsuits are all welcome. Feel free to bring extra beach shoes! Shorts are not recommended because I think you'd probably get cold. I do recommend bringing a jacket for the evening. If you want to dress within the color scheme, wear blues and purples! Florals are also encouraged.

Question

What should we do between the ceremony and dinner?

Answer

Our ceremony is starting at 4:30, will be about half an hour, and then the bride, groom, and wedding party will take pictures for about an hour. We expect to all gather at 6pm for dinner. During that hour, feel free to grab some drinks, some appetizers, walk on the beach, or explore the stream and tide pools just south of the house. We also will have some lawn games to play!
