Madison's version - We met at UMD in a graphic design class. I complimented David's hat on the first day of class as a friendly ice breaker. We became friends overtime in class, but didn't hang out outside of class. That following summer came, and we met up a few times to get food/ice cream. I thought we were just friends hanging out, as I did that with my roommates weekly. Eventually, feelings would develop. Never did I know a simple comment would start something behind the scenes for David, and I was oblivious for months after we met. We finally started dating in Aug 2022! That was intriguing and I asked her to hang out over the following summer a couple times. After a few dates, and inviting her to a family engagement party, I introduced her as my girlfriend to the whole family. Deal was sealed. After about 8 months of being friends, we made it official. We've been best friends ever since! He proposed at Cape Henry in Virginia Beach (Fort Story) on the top of the lighthouse! I caught it on camera without realizing it too, haha. Easiest YES ever!
