It all began at Lane Tech High School during Freshman orientation, where fate placed us in the same homeroom for all four years. We shared classes, countless laughs, and maybe a little “homework borrowing” here and there. After graduation, life took us in different directions for college, but destiny had other plans. Fast forward to January 2021—Ricky slid into the DMs (with a little help from Coquito-fueled courage) and took his shot. That bold move sparked daily conversations, which quickly turned into our first date. From there, we discovered not only a shared love for food and family but also a deep connection and values that aligned perfectly. We took our time, savoring each moment and getting to know one another on a deeper level before officially becoming a couple. Four years later, here we are—stronger than ever, full of love, and ready to say “I do.” The rest, as they say, is history.
