This story is one of commitment, long-distance love, and countless miles in the air. Ray and Patrycja’s journey during Ray’s deployment to Poland in 2022. While exploring the vibrant streets of Poznan, Ray met Patrycja at a shopping mall, sparking a connection neither of them expected. What began as a casual date soon blossomed into hours filled with laughter, shared stories, and movie nights. They found common ground in their love for traveling, pierogi and pizza, and late-night conversations. When Ray moved to Germany, Patrycja met him halfway for adventures in new countries. They found time outside of their careers to grow together, learn each other’s languages, and embrace the cultural nuances that enriched their relationship. After returning to the U.S., Ray volunteered for a second tour to be with Patrycja. Patrycja was drawn to Ray's adventurous spirit and endless curiosity, while Ray fell for Patrycja's warm heart and unwavering support. Ray proposed to Patrycja after she spent Thanksgiving with his family in 2023.
