The nearest airport from Guanajuato City is Bajio International Airport (BJX). This airport is 35 minutes away from Guanajuato City.
Transportation options:
1. Uber. This is our favorite option. Beware: Ubers are prohibited in most airports in Mexico, however they still operate in disguise LOL. Your Uber driver will be calling you several minutes prior to his/her arrival. The driver will ask you to walk away (literally 12-20 ft away from the airport to avoid a fine. It's very common and safe for them to ask.
2. You can book an airport shuttle.
3. Book with a private transportation company: “Guanajuato Tour’s Ejecutivo”. For more detailed information please scroll to the bottom of the page.
4. If you decide to book a taxi, there is a kiosk in the airport. You can purchase a ticket for a one-way fare to the city.

This hotel is right in the downtown area. It is a 2-minute walking distance from the church. No breakfast. To book, don't forget to use our discount code. FYI: Since it’s located in the downtown area it can get loud at night.... unless you’re also out partying then you won’t be annoyed 😉 This is where we stayed a year ago and we enjoyed our stay.
