What should I wear?

Our wedding dress code is "Coastal Cocktail." Think cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, gowns, or suits and dressy separates. To match our coastal theme, we suggest lighter hues, floral prints, and festive details that feel perfect for a spring evening on the Chesapeake Bay. Our ceremony will be outdoors by the water, so please plan for early spring weather (high 50s to low 60s). The reception will be indoors.

Should we stay at Wylder Hotel or a nearby hotel?

Answer

There are a few nearby hotels on Tilghman Island, but we highly recommend staying at Wylder Tilghman Island so you can fully enjoy the wedding weekend with us.

When should we book our hotel room?

Please wait to book your room. A custom booking link/code will be sent this fall with 20% off hotel rates.

What day/time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2027 at 3:30 PM on the waterfront platform. We recommend arriving Friday or early Saturday. We'll be staying at Wylder Tilghman Island for the entire weekend and would love for you to join us. The hotel has a restaurant and bar open throughout the weekend, so feel free to come early or stay later and enjoy the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

What will be served?

Great question! Open bar (4:00 - 9:00 PM): beer, wine, & liquor Cocktail Hour (4:00pm - 5:00 PM): signature drinks + hors d'oeuvres Dinner: plated meal with house salad, roll, & choice of entrée (including vegetarian option). Coffee, hot tea, & water Champagne toast!

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration. The only children in attendance will be Sabrina's nephews, Conner and Brody. We appreciate your understanding as we keep our guest list intimate. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Can I Bring A Plus-One?

Answer

Invitations are addressed to specific guests and we're only able to accommodate those listed on your invite. If your invitation includes a plus-one, their name will appear on your RSVP details. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Can we bring our dog?

Answer

Yes! Wylder Tilghman Island is dog-friendly. We will be bringing our dogs, Calvin & Lola, and hope to include them in the ceremony. Please note Maryland state guidelines: dogs must remain on a leash at all times (except in private rooms). Dogs are not allowed in indoor dining spaces or the pool area, but they are allowed at Tickler's Crab Shack while on leash.

Is there a Friday evening event?

Yes, we're delighted to welcome our family and friends on Friday evening for light appetizers and beverages. Location and details coming soon.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We're planning a special meetup activity in Saint Michael's for Friday (11am-2pm), so you'll have the opportunity to spend extra time with us if you'd like. Location and details will be shared soon.

Is the hotel open to the public during the wedding weekend?

Answer

Yes, the hotel will remain open to the public during normal business hours. We kindly ask that guests be respectful of other hotel visitors. The pool, beach, and ceremony areas will be reserved for our wedding during the event.

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of on-site parking available. Please note that rideshare services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) can be limited in the area, so we recommend planning transportation ahead of time if needed.

What happens if it rains?

We have indoor backup plans in place so the celebration will continue rain or shine!

Wylder Tilghman Island is a smoke-free property. Smoking is permitted only off-site (e.g., near the entrance outside hotel grounds). Please be mindful of noise after 10:00 PM due to local noise ordinances.
