New, exciting jobs at a Tech startup brought Chris and Kristen to Denver in 2014 but it was their love of adventure, the Rocky Mountains, and concerts that sparked their friendship and love. They met when Chris was hiring for his team; Kristen showed up to the interview early, dressed in a black, professional pencil skirt, and with an unforgettable smile and deep green eyes. Chris was smitten from the start. Kristen didn't stay at the company for too long (surprisingly, the company offering of a weekly keg of Coors Light and free pizza was not enticing enough) but they became close friends in their short time working together and their friendship blossomed after she left the company. Soon they started dating and discovered they were both avid travelers. Before they moved to Denver, both spent time traveling abroad. Kristen lived in Spain for awhile and taught in the small town of Almería. Chris moved to San José, Costa Rica for almost a year and worked as a journalist for the Tico Times. Some say that being able to travel together is the true test of a lasting relationship. Over the years they traveled to countries like Japan, Iceland, Portugal, and more. Their love grew during each long flight to their next destination, after every unique meal eaten (sometimes without knowing what exactly they had been served), and adventure taken.
