Here's a great spot for all my sporty pals and gals!. The 9-hole disc golf course is sure to be a great time. Depending on when you go they have an awesome waterslide to check out as well. Plus who doesn't love paddle boarding, because they have that too!!
Lucky Peak State Park is the perfect place to get away for swimming, picnicking, fishing, boating or biking. The park is a 10-minute car ride from downtown Boise or a 30 minute bike ride on the scenic Boise River Greenbelt. Ride your bike to the park and enjoy a cool dip in the Sandy Point beach.
Quail Hollow Golf Course is one of Boise City’s Municipal golf courses located in the Boise Foothills. This 18-hole par 70 layout is 6,325 yards from the back tees and has a course rating of 70.7 and a slope rating of 129. There are TONS of different golf courses around the area. So, if you are interested in golfing definitely look into others if this one didn't peak your interest. you have plenty more options.
Get up close and personal with Black Tip Reef Sharks, stingrays, and Pufferfish at the Aquarium of Boise. This facility houses over 250 species of animals and offers special pools where you can feeds sharks and rays. Oh, and there are mermaids... ;)
If you don't mind a little bit of a drive this is definitely something to check out! its about an hour away from Boise. It offers things to do like, learning the basics of horse control such as starting, stopping and saddling your horse. Explore the depths of horsemanship techniques while working the herd of longhorn cattle during authentic old west cattle drives. In addition to all of the western activities, guests also enjoy the welcoming lodge complete with cards, a poker table, pool table, and horseshoe pits, nearby mountain biking and hiking trails, and much more!
The Springs hot springs retreat is just a short drive northeast of Boise in the historic mining town of Idaho City. Take a soak in a state-of-the-art hot pool fed by a natural hot spring after a long day of fun. Monday, Thursday and Friday are 18+. All ages are welcome on Saturday and Sunday. The pool can accommodate a limited number of guests, and reservations are required. Remember swim diapers for the little ones. Visits are reservation only.
Oh.My.Goodness. If you love excitement and the outdoors this is a MUST! It’s about an hour away from Boise, but definitely worth it. Rafting, zip lining, kayaking, and fishing are all available at this location. It seems like a perfect little adventure for those who want something more lively!
