Molly and Rex's love story began long before they knew there was even one to tell. They grew up across the street from each other in a cul-de-sac in Bloomfield hills. When Rex's family moved in, Molly and his younger sister, Mackenzie, became friends. Since Rex was older, he hung out with Molly's older brothers. Combined with all the other kids in the neighborhood, it was a kids dream. For their childhood years, one could say Rex was the "too cool" older brother and Molly was the best friend of his sister who raided his families pantry and tagged along on family outings. In their college years, Rex's dreams took him to Ireland to study literature, and Mollys took her to Colorado. They lived adventurous lives not knowing one of the biggest adventures was right around the corner. It wasn't until March of 2022 when a coincidental family trip to Florida happened. Both Molly and Rex's families were in Florida at the same time in the same area and got together after years of not seeing each other. When Molly and Rex saw each other again you could say there was a "double take". It was a flicker of recognition wrapped in something unfamiliar. After an afternoon together, numbers were exchanged and just like that, the past and the present folded together. As time went on, Rex developed a relationship with Molly's daughter Nova. He loved her not because of her extension to Molly, but as her own little person. Molly and Rex's love didn't arrive the first time they met as kids. It grew quietly in the background waiting till the timing was right. When it did come, it didn't feel like something new but instead more like something that was always meant to find its way home.
