Well, it wasn't exactly love at first sight. We were both working at YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park for the summer of 2016. I stopped by the Rustic Café after my shift, and there he was taking latte orders behind the counter. We got into a brief conversation about his tattoos and why he loves Texas so much (it's because of the people, by the way). Then, in our second encounter, he casually told me that I "look like a lion" as we passed each other in a parking lot. Surprisingly no, we did not fall in love then and there. In fact, we left that summer as something even less than acquaintances. A year later, however, I moved down to Texas because of some connections I had made at his church. I would run into him at a lot of events and hangouts. I could feel a crush coming on, but he was quite indifferent for about a year as we would hang out in the "friend zone" fairly often. I had heart eyes but he just had...eyes...if you know what I mean. It took a literal ACT OF GOD for him to notice me. I am pretty thankful for that act of God because it brought us to where we are today. You should ask Micah about it sometime ;)
