WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We first met at a mutual friend's (shoutout to Isha!!) birthday dinner freshman year of college. We became acquainted with each other and always said hi during our impromptu encounters over the years. Fast forward 8 years and while Adit was on a trip with Isha, she informed him that Reshma was an eligible bachelorette and might be interested if he was. Pretending to act calm and collected, Adit tried to underplay his excitement the best he could and gave a nonchalant but definitive YES. 20 questions, a dinner date at a lively Mexican restaurant downtown, and a date to Reshma's dental school's charity ball later, we knew we had found the perfect partner.

We took our long awaited first trip together to Zion National Park in Utah. Given Reshma's love of the outdoors and Adit's constant desire to irritate her, he planned a sunrise 4 am hike to Observation Point knowing that she likes to sleep in. We woke up in the middle of the night and drove an hour along the scenic drive in the peace and quiet to reach the trailhead. With our headlamps, winter coats, and ear muffs on, we commenced on the 7 mile roundtrip trail. Hiking under the stars while witnessing the sky change from night to dawn, we walked briskly towards the overlook point. Just as the sun was about to rise at 6:45 am, we reached our destination. In awe of the jawdropping views, Reshma told Adit to ask the only other tourist (which happened to be the photographer Adit hired) to take a photo of them. Adit pointed to a random site in the canyon, pretending to be amazed and as Reshma was intently trying to search for that spot, he got down on one knee and proposed. We're elated to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with our closest family and friends and hope to see you all in Colorado!
