Flight
The closest major airport to our wedding venue is SeaTac in Seattle. From there it is a little over an hour drive to Mount Vernon. There are rental car services available at the airport, we suggest using sites such as Priceline or Expedia for best pricing options. There is also the Bellair Airport shuttle that will take you into Burlington, which is just four miles outside of Mount Vernon. There is also the Amtrak station located in downtown Seattle, which will take you right into Mount Vernon as well. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Hotel
The bride and groom will be staying at Swinomish Casino and Lodge and would love for our guest to join us (although not required). Please call the hotel 360-588-3600 (option 1), use group code REPSHERDICKISON25 when booking your room. All rooms must be booked by May 26, 2025. Please note that space is limited so if you are planning on staying at the lodge please don't wait to book your room. There will be a shuttle to and from the wedding venue for this hotel ONLY. Shuttle
June 28, 2025 3:45 pm
A shuttle will be at the Swinomish Lodge from 3:45pm-4:00pm to transport guests to the wedding venue. Please don't be late as the shuttle will not be waiting for anyone. Once the reception has ended the shuttle will make two trips back to the lodge to end the night at approximately 10:00pm. Please look for more information about the shuttle in your welcome bags and listen for announcements during the reception.
Travel Note
From Portland/Seattle/SEA-TAC: Take I-5 North to Exit 221 and turn left to head west on WA State Route 534/Pioneer highway. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Fir Island Rd. Follow Fir Island Rd five miles and keep left onto Best Rd heading over the Skagit river. Christianson’s Nursery & Greenhouse is another 4 miles down Best Rd on your left with signs visible from the road. Wedding parking is further from the road, behind the main building. The wedding will be held behind the old school house (follow the signs)
