It was just an ordinary work day for me, and clinical day for Rensie, when our paths crossed for the first time. I was hoping I wouldn’t be assigned a student that day. But, of course, life had other plans. Rensie arrived late, and because of that, she ended up being assigned to me. As the day went on, we found ourselves wanting to know more about each other. Eventually, I worked up the courage to ask for her number 📱. She smiled and said, “No—give me your number instead.” And before our day ended, my phone lit up with her message 😎. Six years followed, filled with countless memories—simple movie dates, late-night food runs, and adventures that took us all the way to the peaks of Zion National Park. We went from caring for four tiny hamsters 🐹 to welcoming our dog, Leo 🐶, into our lives. Every season, every milestone, every ordinary day only brought us closer. And then, on Christmas of 2025, surrounded by family, I asked her to spend forever with me. In that moment, everything we had lived, everything we had built, came together. And she said YES!! 💍
