You & Me Darlin'

We’ve technically known each other forever. Robbie was my brother’s friend in grade school. We both grew up in Shrewsbury, went to the same grade school and high school, and were always kind of around each other, but never directly friends. Here’s the part we didn’t know until much later, we were each other’s quiet little kid crush. Fast forward to college, when timing finally decided to cooperate, and we found our spark on a dating app. After years of overlapping lives, we matched. The rest came naturally. And somehow, it feels like it always made sense.

Robbie didn’t just fall in love with me, he inherited my kids. The kids, of course, are cats. He has never had cats before, so watching him learn how to be a cat dad in real time was… entertaining. There were questions, confusion, and a lot of trial and error. Somewhere along the way, it clicked. Eventually, Mr. B and Robbie bonded. He now steals his blankets, takes his spot, uses his heat, and has absolutely no respect for boundaries. They're best friends. As for Humphry? Anything is a win. Tolerance, proximity, mild approval, all victories in his book.

Robbie was gifted his great-grandmother's ring from his grandmother. He had it reset into a simple, yellow gold band and proposed in Arizona on 10-25-2025. After we got back, Robbie had another surprise for me, we went to the jeweler, and I found out that I was given complete control over the design of my ring. I was able to create something that felt unique and unmistakably me.
