In July of 2016, Megan was completing a mentorship at Providence Park and Alex was working for the Portland Timbers. There was a moment when Alex walked through the clinic and was quickly introduced to Megan. Fast forward one month. Megan was trying to use a computer away from the chaos of the clinic and finish her Friday at work. Alex was "working" with a player at the Alter G (fancy treadmill). Alex was watching a player run from the comfort of the computer chair that went with the computer Megan was trying to use. She said some sarcastic comment to him, he rebutted with an even more sarcastic comment. Conversation continued, Megan finished her work, and that was the end of the day. A few days later Megan decided to add Alex on Facebook. Within a few days they started messaging back and forth. They found out they only lived a few blocks apart and both enjoyed hiking. Within a week they decided to go to the gorge to hike. Megan took Alex to hike Oneota Gorge--a hike you walk through the water to get to a large waterfall and pool. Both were soaking wet at the end and decided to hike Horsetail falls to dry off and warm up. As they got to the top there was an incredible view and both sat in awe at what they saw. This place would become very special and important to them, because it was where it all started. That night ended in Hood River at Double Mountain with pizza a beer. And the rest is history.
