We first met in 2017 in Provo, UT when one of Zack's roommates was dating one of Renee's roommates. We went on a date or two and hung out a few times (mostly just to hang out with our friends). Then, Renee's brother, Steven, and Zack were in the same dental school class at the University of Utah and had become good friends. At dental school graduation Renee and Zack talked for just a second. That was enough, and Zack asked Renee out a couple weeks later!

We spent just a few short weeks together in Utah before Zack moved to Augusta, GA. With Renee coming out to visit just a couple weeks after his move, things started to solidify. We decided to start dating on that first trip and thus began long-distance dating. We traveled cross country to see each other 15 times, went to 9 states together, and spent countless hours chatting on Facetime. We navigated a lot of changes during this time, and really got to know each other on a deeper level.

For weeks leading up to the engagement we both felt so much peace and gratitude and just awesome excitement for our future together. So when Zack pulled off the surprise visit and engagement a few weeks earlier than expected, we were ecstatic. It was the most magical and surreal night together and with our families.

We finally get to be in the same place at the same time!! Zack helped Renee move out to Augusta and we have been relishing in our new pace of time spent with each other. We are so excited to be getting married and feel so lucky to have each other. Thank you for your love and support, it means the world to us!
