San Francisco’s cable cars are symbolic of the charm and distinct flavor of the city. In no other place can you ride a moving national historic monument. I recommend hopping on at Fisherman’s Wharf. There are two lines that service this stop and it puts you in the heart of many destinations. The famed Buena Vista Cafe is right by where you hop on. Would highly recommend getting yourself an Irish Coffee to go and then sightsee!
If you are looking to keep the winery theme going throughout your time in California, there is no better place to go than Napa Valley! n the city of Napa, Oxbow Public Market features regional gourmet food. The Napa Valley Wine Train is a vintage locomotive and traveling restaurant running through the valley. Northwest of Napa is Yountville, a town known for high-end restaurants and sparkling wine. There are more than 400 wineries open for tastings and 90 urban tasting rooms in the valley so you can absolutely find a few that fit what you are looking for!
Carmel is a small beach town known for its charm. It is on the end of 17-Mile Drive - a scenic road through Pebble Beach and Pacific Grove. It houses an adorable downtown and it is the last main town before heading into Big Sur. The drive is known for winding turns, seaside cliffs, and views of the often-misty coastline. It is beautiful and a really unique experience!
