We've decided to cancel our upcoming wedding. Due to the death of a close family member, from Covid, the Immunocompromised condition of others family members and the continued spread of Covid and emerging variants, we don't feel it is safe, to continue with our plans.

Question

What makes this a "Marriage Celebration" and not a Wedding?

Answer

On their original wedding date (3/28/2020) Renee and Pete held an extremely small ceremony in the Barrys backyard, via Zoom. The Wedding Party and immediate family watched the two (unofficially) become husband and wife from their living rooms, across the country. In September of 2020, when local offices re-opened, Renee and Pete became legally married. Essentially, it's been a long time since they have seen y'all. They're already married. There will be no official ceremony at this party. It's time to show up and dance!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Click on the “RSVP” page, above. You will be prompted to enter your first and last name. You will be filling out responses for all members of your party at once. You will see a list of the events to which you and your party are invited. Please be sure to respond to each event you are invited to. The website will provide you with a summary of events once you’ve RSVP’d.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Three hotels, listed on the "TRAVEL" page of this website, will be blocked off for our guests. The three hotels will offer discounts for our guests. Simply use the ("view" button) links provided on the "TRAVEL" page to utilize the group discount. All three of these hotels are modest, family friendly with free WiFi & free breakfast. The available rooms will be right around $100 per night. All guests are welcome to utilize other accommodations, but please note the three blocked hotels will serve as the shuttle boarding locations.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, check out the "TRAVEL" page for all the info you need.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

"Cocktail party" attire is perfect. However, you'll be outside, where the alligators live. So, dress comfortably.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

You can visit the "REGISTRY" page to find out more, but the couple is encouraging guests to contribute to their New House fund.
