Things To Do

Los Angeles has so much to offer, here are some of our favorite places, alongside classic LA sites. Yes, most of them are places to eat.
Los Angeles Theater

Los Angeles Theater

Theater is the cornerstone of our relationship, it's how we met after all! We encourage you to support your local theater communities, and while you're in LA you can visit the link to find shows playing during your time here!

UOVO

UOVO

6245 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90048

This is our favorite date night spot, and usually Jono's requested birthday meal. Check out the website for more LA locations.

Barnsdall Art Park

Barnsdall Art Park

4800 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90027

Not only was this one of our first date spots, but it's where Jono proposed! It's a great place to overlook Los Angeles, picnic, or lounge in the sun.

Eataly

Eataly

10250 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90067

While not an LA exclusive, we've had the great pleasure of partaking in a cooking class, enjoying an anniversary dinner, roaming the grocery section, and even witnessing a Parmesan wheel being opened. A great place for a quick lunch or a rooftop cocktail!

Pauley Pavilion

Pauley Pavilion

301 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095

We love sports and our favorite annual sports outing is supporting the UCLA Women's basketball team, especially during March Madness. Check out the link for tickets as we get closer to the date and treat yourself to a game.

Republic Of Pie

11118 Magnolia Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 91601

This is our favorite cafe in LA and the best place to grab a Thanksgiving Pot Pie followed by one of their many delicious dessert pies.

Cha Cha Chicken

1906 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90405

The best jerk chicken around!

Porto's Bakery and Cafe

3614 Magnolia Boulevard, Burbank, CA 91505

Porto's helped us survive the COVID lockdown. Our personal favorites are the potato balls (especially the Thanksgiving ones which only come around once a year), guava + cheese strudel, and cheese rolls, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Fugetsu-Do Bakery Shop

315 1st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Ready for the best handmade mochi of your life? You must check out Fugetsu-Do, widely considered to be the oldest mochi shop in the US. We can't resist getting a box whenever we find ourselves evrn the slightest bit near Little Tokyo.

Los Angeles Tourist Activities

Los Angeles, CA

Other typical LA activities include: The Walk of Fame, Universal Studios, The Santa Monica Pier, The Hollywood Sign, various LA sporting events, The Getty Museum & Villa, etc. Visit the link for other recommendations for classic LA activities.
