We developed this page to conveniently share important details leading up to our wedding. You can also read more about our story, learn more about the schedule on our wedding day, and check out our registry information too. Thank you for your ongoing love and support. We are so excited to share this day with you!
Our story began in December of 2012 while we were traveling to Minneapolis for a Christian conference, TCX. We both attended UW-Fox Valley for college but we were practically strangers at that time. As an attempt to avoid awkward silence, the two of us began to converse and learn more about each other throughout the duration of the car ride. After the conference, we realized that our personalities meshed well. We soon discovered that we oftentimes were thinking and feeling the same way in specific situations. Along with our similar intuitions, we learned that our families’ structures and sense of values aligned perfectly with each other, complementing the life we envisioned with our future spouses. We spent the next five and a half years driving from Omro to Brillion (43 miles each way) to see each other as we finished college. The two of us finished our degrees at different universities. Renee completed her Education degree at UW-Oshkosh and Andrew earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from UW-Green Bay. We are both blessed with parents who continued to support us into our college years as we both commuted. We are forever thankful for all the home cooked meals, a place to stay, and wise advice from both of our parents. Fun fact: We traveled over 25,000 round-trip miles while dating!
We both knew early on that marriage was in our future, but we agreed to finish college and begin our careers before engagement. After five and a half year of growing together in Christ, Andrew proposed at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens on July 28, 2018. Andrew picked the perfect spot where he planned to have a photographer capture the intimate moments of the proposal and throughout our walk around the gardens. The moment felt so surreal, and the excitement was unexplainable. We spent the rest of the day together smiling from ear to ear at each other and ended the evening with a bite to eat at Lambeau Field! We are excitedly anticipating to start this new chapter of our lives together, and we would be honored to share this time with our friends and family! You are the reason we are celebrating; we will mark this day as two families becoming one.
