Question

Will there be transportation to the events?

Answer

Due to the minimal distance between the Inn and the Ceremony/Reception venues and the narrow residential roads in between, we will not be providing transportation. However, there are a few options to get you from point A to B! The easiest option would be to rent a car through the Northwestern Beaches of Florida Airport. They have an easy pick up and drop off area just outside of baggage claim. There will be parking/valet at the events! You can definitely try Uber, although with it being off season we cannot guarantee there will be many drivers in the area - so have a back up just in case! You can use Get a Goober (think Uber but with Golf Carts), which will pick you up and drop you off later that evening. They have a Mobile App to book your ride, or you can call ahead of time to schedule a ride at 850-400-3355. We recommend calling/booking a few hours in advance to be safe. If you are staying at the Inn and will not have a vehicle, you can also enjoy the short, scenic walk to the venues through Cerulean Park! Signage around Watercolor will point you in the right direction or simply enter "Watercolor Boat House" into your phone's map app.

How do we get to the wedding venue(s)?

Answer

The Watercolor Boat House and Lake House are both located at the corner of Watercolor Boulevard and Western Lake Drive. They are in the same vicinity with a shared parking lot located along the Western Lake. Throughout Watercolor, you will notice directional signage that will point you in the right direction.

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes, for the welcome party/rehearsal dinner, you can valet at the Watercolor Inn. And for the ceremony/reception there is a parking lot located at the venues as well as street parking nearby. If you are staying at the Watercolor Inn and won't have a vehicle, the ceremony and reception venue is just a quick 5 minute stroll away. Golf carts may also be parked outside both events.

Where should we stay?

Answer

There are several options for accommodations in Watercolor. You can easily book a room at the Watercolor Inn, be sure to mention the Leemhuis wedding for a discounted rate! If you are coordinating with a group, we suggest looking into renting a house or condo through Watercolor rental companies or VRBO/AirBnb. Some of these homes come with use of the owners golf cart or bicycles, but you can also rent those separately should you choose to do so :) PRO TIP: The earlier you book THE BETTER. These homes fill up fast for those vacationing in the off season.

...But what will I WEAR?!

Answer

For the rehearsal dinner/welcome party, we ask that cocktail attire be worn. This includes jacket, slacks and a button down with no tie, and cocktail dresses, jumpsuits for women. For the ceremony/reception, men in suit and tie and women in semi-formal dresses or jumpsuits. This time of year in Northwestern Florida can be on the chilly side (highs in the 60s/70s lows in the 40s/50s) – so plan accordingly!

Are the venues indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both ceremony and reception are located indoors, and cocktail hour and the welcome party will be located outside, we will have heaters at both events if the weather is on the cooler side!

Can our kiddos come?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we ask that this be an adult-only celebration! However, they are more than welcome to join the welcome party Friday evening. Thank you for your understanding.

What if we want to keep the party going after the reception?

Answer

While 30A is a generally sleepy area, there is a bar just up the road in Grayton Beach called AJ's (about a 5-minute drive from Watercolor) that stays open until 1 AM! Should you choose to continue the celebrations, that would be your best option! PLEASE BE SMART and don't drink and drive :)
