Question

WHERE DO I FLY TO / FROM?

Answer

Kahului (OGG) Airport

Question

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY LODGING?

Answer

The sooner the better! Please keep in mind people who travel to Hawaii plan 1-2 yrs in advance. Most places are reserved & have limited availability. We found the closer it gets to the date, the higher rates will be.

Question

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

Answer

We recommend staying on the south side of Maui in Kihei or Wailea. This part of the island guarantees good weather, beaches, turtles and whales! **We live in Kihei near Kalama Park Below is a site with special group rates in our area. The rates can fluctuate and sell out at any time, so you should book sooner than later! https://zola.hotelplanner.com/EventPage6012715 Air Bnb also has great options! https://www.airbnb.com/s/Kihei--HI/homes

Question

SHOULD I RENT A CAR?

Answer

It is not necessary if you plan on going to the beach daily. There are beaches, restaurants & food markets walking distance from Kihei and Makena. We do however highly recommend renting a car for at least a couple days to see other parts of the island! https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/kahului-hi Also, please note transportation is provided to/from the wedding location.

Question

WHAT DO I PACK?

Answer

Average temperature for Kihei in March is High 84 / Low 62 Beach clothes / Swimsuits / Towels- nothing is too casual for Hawaii. Dress comfortable and light; it’s hot! Hats & Sunglasses- Hats that can take some wind & polarized sunglasses highly recommended. Light jacket - Nights can be breezy and chilly, especially with a sunburn! Hiking shoes or good sandals with straps - even short easy hikes or look outs can be slippery and steep. Sturdy, comfortable shoes are a must! Tennis shoes can be tough with getting in a out of wet areas or water. Sunblock - Please bring only reef safe sunblock and no aerosol spray to keep from harming our reef and fish. Highly recommend 50 SPF - Hawaiian sunburns are no joke! Cash - Most places accept debit/credit however, some local places and everywhere on the road to Hana is cash only so it’s nice to have some handy. Warm clothes - ONLY If you’re planning on visiting the Haleakalā summit bring winter clothes.

Question
