Our wedding will be set among the breathtaking ruins of Santa Clara in Antigua — a setting that is both timeless and romantic. The dress code is elegant summer: For ladies: long dresses in flowing, breathable fabrics. Think refined and graceful — colors inspired by nature, soft or bold, are all welcome. For gentlemen: suits and you can use fabrics that complement the season. Ties are optional, but elegance is encouraged. We want you to feel part of a scene that is beautiful and celebratory, like a living painting.
We want you to shine in your own style, so we suggest wearing a long dress in colorful tones, floral prints, or summery patterns. Note: We only ask that you avoid very light colors such as white, ivory, pastel colors or similar shades, so that on this special day the bride’s gown can shine even brighter.
Antigua’s cobblestone streets add to its charm but can be tricky in stilettos. We suggest wedges, block heels, or elegant flats for women. Gentlemen, classic dress shoes will be perfect.
Sunscreen and sunglasses are must-haves for daytime. Evenings are cooler — pack a light sweater or jacket. Cobblestones = bring a pair of comfortable walking shoes for exploring. Local currency is the Guatemalan Quetzal, but many places also take cards.
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy this evening as a night out to relax, celebrate, and dance with us.
No. We kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend. Thank you for understanding — we can’t wait to celebrate with each of you who are invited.
The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, in the open-air ruins of Santa Clara. The afternoon sun will give way to a cooler evening, so bring a light shawl or jacket. Sunglasses during the day are also recommended — both for comfort and for photos you’ll want to keep forever.
March is dry season: warm, golden afternoons around 25°C / 77°F, and cooler evenings around 15°C / 59°F. Light, breathable fabrics will keep you comfortable from day to night.
Most guests will fly into La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City. Antigua is about a 1–1.5 hour drive away. We’ll share recommended shuttles and transportation options closer to the date.
Guests from the US, EU, and many other countries do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. Please check requirements based on your passport.
Antigua has beautiful boutique hotels and charming Airbnbs. We recommend staying within walking distance of the central park so you can enjoy the cobblestone streets and colonial architecture. We have also shared a list of recommended hotels.
Antigua is a UNESCO World Heritage site, filled with history, churches, and views. Guests can explore local markets, sip Guatemalan coffee, or join excursions like Pacaya Volcano hikes or Lake Atitlán day trips.
