Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are trying to mitigate the disaster that combining booze, excitable toddlers, and heights could create. Therefore, we are extending a welcome to children age 10 and up.

Where is the ceremony? How to find it? What about parking?

Answer

The ceremony site has its own name- the Old Mill Garden in Falls Park! If you're staying at one of the hotels downtown, your best option is to walk to the ceremony site through the park. Walk under the suspension bridge, and over the small concrete bridge connecting the park to Furman College Way (paved street at edge of park). Walk down the street a bit and find the ceremony site tucked into the trees. If you're driving, you may want to park at University Ridge/County Square and walk down. You can also park at Riverplace Garage (under the Embassy Suites) to make it easier to leave at the end of the reception. The parking garage does have a fee to park. If you're in the park and feeling lost, look for some signs pointing your way to the site.

And the reception?

The reception is a lovely 10 minute walk from the ceremony site through beautiful Falls Park. We will all make it together, so no one will get lost. Be prepared to party, parade and gather some attention during our stroll to the reception (our photographer wants amazing photos)!
