One of the most beautiful capitol buildings in the United States, known for its stunning architecture, grand dome and panoramic views of downtown Des Moines. Visitors can explore the building through free self-guided or guided tours during public visiting hours. Inside, you’ll also find the historic State Law Library, famous for its incredible spiral staircases and elegant interior.

The largest shopping mall in Iowa, with a mix of major brands, restaurants, cafés and a beautiful outdoor lake area. Great for shopping, walking around or spending a casual afternoon.
