What NOT to wear

Please refrain from wearing anything in the following colors, as they are our wedding colors and we would like to ensure a cohesive event. 1. Terracotta/Copper/Rust 2. Dark Green 3. White 4. Beige

We will have a photo booth area set up with fun props and a selfie ring in addition to a Polaroid camera to take a fun picture to add to our guestbook. We will also be livestreaming the wedding for those who we unable to attend in person using the EventLive app. Though we welcome you taking your own videos and pictures, we ask that you DO NOT post to social media without our expressed approval. We are private people and prefer to have our posts be our own.

We have chosen to make masks optional, we will NOT be enforcing the use of masks or other personal protective equipment.

What will the weather be in August?

Answer

Highs: low to mid 80's Low: low to mid 60's Precipitation: 7 days of the month on average will have rain, so plan accordingly

What is it like in Illinois?

Crystal Lake will be warm and inviting this time of year! There will be lots of outdoor and indoor activities in the local area. A quick train ride into the city of Chicago will provide you with boundless activities and adventure. Despite its reputation, Chicago is a beautiful and culturally rich city with a wide variety of things to do. We think you'll fall in love!

We have carefully curated a delicious meal that will be prepared by a local Master Chef, named Ingo Betz. It's our take on a Mexican and Southern fusion that we hope you will love! Dessert is a variety of beautiful treats that will satisfy even the most discerning pallet. (Unfortunately, we are unable to cater to allergies or dietary restrictions/preferences)

Friday, Aug, 2nd Morning- Event setup and rehearsal Evening- PreWedding cookout Saturday, Aug, 3rd - Wedding Sunday, Aug, 4th Morning- Brunch with the newlyweds Wedding day times: 4:00 - 4:15 pm - guest arrival 4:30 - 5:00pm - handfasting and ceremony 5:00 - 6:00 pm - cocktail hour 6:00 - 11 pm - reception (dinner/speeches/dancing/fun!)

What time should we be there? And what time is it over?

Answer

We would appreciate our guests arriving between 4 pm and 4:15 pm for a ceremony starting at 4:30 pm. Our event will end promptly at 11 pm.

Is there parking nearby?

Answer

Yes! There is a parking lot across the street as well as street parking, free of charge.

Is this indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Indoors only! If you know Ren, she can't stand to be hot, so was there ever an option?!

What about a gift?

Answer
