I swore I would never online date again but I did and I met Tommy right away! I remember going to work the next day and telling everyone that I had met the love of my life. I was joking...kind of.   He asked me to coffee right away, which I appreciated. We met the following weekend and thanks to his nerves he talked the whole time. :) He was so handsome, I knew he was nervous and I liked what he had so say so I definitely gave him another chance. We went on our first date the following week and we talked for hours! It was so easy and so fun!  It's been that way from the beginning.  Everything was and is so different with Tommy.  I have never met a person that has made it so easy to exist and communicate with. Tommy is sweet, tender, thoughtful, encouraging, supportive and prays for us often. I am thankful for all that he is. 

I decided to propose under cover of a birthday weekend. The morning of the big proposal Renae surprised me with a rock climbing session that was super fun! I did my best not to reveal anything. We had planned to have a dinner for me for my birthday and then go dancing afterwards. I suggested we go for a drink before everything kicks off, but that was my way of getting her to Elmwood Park, where my mom Linda, brother Cody, Renae’s Dad Ron and Stepmom Sally where waiting in the wings to join us after I popped the question. It ended up working out perfectly with the weather being a little bit chilly, but not too cold and the sun starting to set just like I had hoped. I wrote a poem to Renae and at the end of it I asked her to marry me! I did this for a few reasons. One, I knew I would be super nervous and a poem I could read from would work so much more eloquently. Two, I though it was a really cool, romantic way to propose, and it was something I was comfortable with doing as well. The best part of it all is Renae said yes!! We shared a glass of wine and talked for a bit. Then our family came to join for a short time and we headed off to share the wonderful news!!
