Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be held on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at Mt. Hood Skibowl West (also known as the main Skibowl area, near the main lodge): 87000 US-26, Government Camp, OR 97028 Pre-ceremony cocktails will start at 4:15PM, and our ceremony will start promptly at 5PM. Please arrive with adequate time to take the lifts up the mountain before the ceremony begins.

Question

How do I get to SkiBowl? Shuttle & Parking

Answer

A shuttle will loop between Best Western, Grand Lodges, Collings Lake Resort for 30 Minutes from 3:15 - 3:45 PM. If you are planning to take the shuttle, please be on time! This ensures guests can make it to the ceremony site on time. The shuttle will remain onsite all night to ensure guests can get back to their lodging (at Best Western, Grand Lodges, Collings Lake Resort). If you are planning to drive: Our parking lot is adjacent to the main lodges of Skibowl West. We have access directly from the parking lot to the reception site. This is where the shuttle will pick up and drop off as well. Parking is free. *Skibowl is not liable for lost or stolen items.

Question

Getting to the ceremony/reception: Ski-Lift and Alpine Slide

Answer

You will take the ski-lift up to the ceremony site, and the alpine slide (or ski-lift) down to the reception. There will be a shuttle for guests unable to take the lift. We encourage guests to allow the shuttle to be available for people with disabilities, the elderly, and children under 3 yrs of age. Guests will receive a wristband for the day. This will get you on the lift and onto the Alpine Slide. It is good for one lift up and one lift or Alpine Slide down. The wristbands will be at the lift for guests and any of the wedding party taking the lift to The Warming Hut. There is a designated lane specifically for wedding guests. Alpine Slide: This is a 5-10 minute walk from the Warming Hut. It is on a gravel road and appropriate shoes are recommended. The Slide itself is about a 10 minute ride down. Children on Lifts & Slides: Children must be 3 yrs. old minimum to ride lift. 48” to ride slide alone. Children under 48” can ride on an adults lap.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire preferred. Shoes: We are on a mountain, please consider appropriate shoes! If you are planning to wear heels we'd advise against any narrow heel that will likely dig into the ground and be difficult to walk on grass/gravel road to the alpine slide. If you really want to bust out those heels (like Renae), consider changing your shoes at the reception!

Question

What kind of food and drink will be served?

Answer

We will be serving a buffet dinner with a variety of options and non-alcoholic beverages. There will also be an open bar with beer, wine, liquor, and some signature cocktails. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

August in the Mt. Hood area is generally beautiful, with warm days and cool evenings. However, mountain weather can be unpredictable. We recommend checking the forecast closer to the date.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift! However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, we'd appreciate any contribution to our honeymoon or newlywed funds!
