Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends walking down the aisle with us on our big day!

Mya Rodwell

Maid of Honor

Sister of the bride, Mya Rodwell! Growing up, Mya was the "purple sister", always trying to follow in her "pink sister's" footsteps. Their playtime consisted of the most wildly unhinged make-believe play you have ever seen, role-playing with littlest pet shops, playing Webkinz and bothering their brother Jordan. As they grew up and Rena moved back home after college, their adult relationship bloomed. Although occasionally arguing in their youth, as all sisters do, these two now have an unbreakable bond with a sisterly love like no other. Having Mya as the Maid of Honor means everything and more, and Rena and Cody are so glad to have her there with them on such a special day in their lives.

Cheyenne Giangrosso

Bridesmaid

Met through mutual friends during the summer of 2020, while a nightmare for many, Cheyenne and Rena sure made the best of this crazy year! These two formed a fun-loving friendship straight away, creating memories of pool nights, hotel stays, and trips to last a lifetime. With nothing to do but day drink, swim in her mom, Vicki's pool, and meet up with friends to party, Cheyenne and Rena bonded like sisters and truly made the best of one of the craziest times in the world.

Emily Kim

Bridesmaid

Met as co-workers in 2023 at Doodlebugs childcare, Emily and Rena shared a love of teaching classrooms full of toddlers, arts and crafts, and bulletin board creations. They quickly became close friends, and even Cody and Tom, Emily's boyfriend, became good friends almost instantly! With a heart of gold and a mutual love for local traveling, It was no wonder Emily was present the day Rena and Cody got engaged...COMPLETELY BY COINCIDENCE! It was 100% meant to be, and that day will be a beautiful memory to last a lifetime for all.

Matthew Fox

Best Man

Ah, Matthew Fox. Cody could write a book about all the amazing times they have had together. Matt and Cody met in college as roommates Cody's sophomore year. From there, they became fast friends with their shared sense of humor and love of video games and memes. Fast forward 10 years later, and Cody has seen Matt get married, build his home, and become a dad twice over with his high school sweetheart, Ashley. The couple always included Cody and let him crash on their couch so often, one would be certain they would have billed him rent. Matt has always been like a big brother to Cody and Cody is very excited to have him as his best-man in his wedding. From helping Matt move twice, to Bills games together, to monthly poker games (which Cody never seems to win), and everything in-between, Matt has been a huge part of Cody's life, and is SO thankful to have Matt next to him on a very important day.

Nick O'Connor

Groomsman

"BOO-BOO!" Cody and Nick met when Cody began to work for Monroe County. Nick was the senior operator on the Vac-Truck cleaning team, and was randomly paired up one day with "the new guy." Nick took Cody under his wing and showed him everything he needed to know about being a successful operator on the team. Well, the supervisors quickly realized they made a mistake because Cody and Nick were like two peas-in-a-pod. They both made others laugh, and were always called upon as the "Special Ops" of the county. No matter how easy or how hard the jobs were, Cody and Nick always made it work, even being recognized once for saving a fellow co-workers life. Nick and Cody may no longer work together, but whenever Cody sees Nick filling up equipment at the fuel-pump, some say, even in the next county, you can hear Cody and Nick greeting each other yelling "BOO-BOO!" Cody is super excited to have Nick with him on his wedding day.

Jordan Rodwell

Groomsman

Brother of the Bride, Jordan has a history of being very choosy as to who his sister found interest in...that is, until the day he met Cody. Although still giving him his famous firm handshake, Jordan quickly dropped his guard and accepted Cody into the family from the very beginning. He has been such a great protector of both his sisters growing up, but now he gets to pass the torch along to the Groom to be Rena's forever guard.

Christopher Avery

Groomsman

"What up, cuz?!" Growing up just a few doors apart, Chris and Cody were always cruising around Cody’s yard in their electric Jeep—much to his dad, Mike's dismay, thanks to the trail of dead grass it left behind. Cody and Chris have been through TONS of ups and downs together, but always made time to check in with each other no matter what... which often turned into 45 minute phone calls, laughing hysterically and usually drawing concern from their families. Cody has known Chris for over 30 years, and it truly shows. They can go weeks without talking, but you’d never know it by how quickly they pick up right where they left off. As someone who has been such a big part of Cody’s life for so long, it just felt right to have Chris standing with him to celebrate this special day.

Emmy Heiman

Flower Girl

Emmy is part of the trio that made Rena's last (and final) nannying job oh so very special. With her bubbly smiles and can-do attitude, this girly is ready to ROCK the aisle! It means the world to Rena to have her "princess" by her side on such a magical day.

William Heiman

Ring Bearer

Will has two very important roles in his life; Big brother to triplets, and ring bearer for Rena and Cody on their big day! His favorite things are trucks, spider-man, and making crafts with Rena (can someone say, AWEEE?!). Will is the sweetest, most spirited little guy who brings so much joy wherever he goes. With his big heart, hilarious sense of humor, and proud big brother role, he’s sure to steal a few hearts and smiles as he walks down the aisle with his sissy!
