We're getting married!

It was love at first swipe! Remy and Michael matched on the dating app Bumble in June of 2021.

Remy and Michael made it official in October of 2021. We went on several dates in San Marcos as it was the half way point between where we each lived. Getting married there feels like a nice homage to the beginning of our relationship and our willingness to always meet in the middle!

Remy moved to Alabama to pursue her master's degree, while Michael remained in Texas. He was always sure to bring Remy a little piece of home when he visited, usually in the form of HEB tortillas, and Remy was sure to bring a piece of Alabama with her when she went home, usually in the form of an accent thicker than she'd like!

Michael took advantage of us being in Hawaii for Remy's brother Grayson's graduation to propose in the dreamiest of ways. Michael set up a blanket with roses and candles on the sand of a nearly deserted beach and proposed to Remy during sunset. She obviously said yes!

Michael and Remy moved to Indiana in July of 2024 as Remy was starting her Ph.D. at Indiana University. Michael will start his M.D. this fall at the Indiana University School of Medicine. While we may be Hoosiers for now, we will be Texans forever!
