We’re getting MARRIED!

September 16th 2023. Millvale Days. The Double L. Chelsea found herself in an awkward situation when her friend wandered off (thanks Emily). She turned around to the people standing behind her to ask "Can you please pretend like you know me for 5 minutes?" And there stood Jon Remick. There were immediately sparks; Jon's friend looked at Chelsea and said "This is your guy." and left them alone to talk. They discovered they both had a niche taste in music, which led to them finding out they both have the same favorite band, further given proof by Jon showing off his black eye from seeing TERROR just a few days before and Chelsea touting her "OVERCOME" lip tattoo (which just so happens to be Jon's favorite song). The coincidences continued as they talked, sharing so many of the same interests. Even realizing they had been in the same room many, many times. There were even videos Chelsea found on her phone from shows where you can see Jon in his usual spot acting like a lunatic, front and center stage. Numbers were exchanged and promises to meet back up later that night were made, shoutout to after hours at Cousin's. (shhhhh) Their texting and talking continued and there was no denying how much they connected. Their ability to make each other smile and laugh together never faltered and only grew stronger. If you've met them, you know exactly what that means. 2 months later they made it official and it's been a hardcore love story ever since. You'll now see them celebrating and reliving that night every year, in the Double L during Millvale Days.

As anyone that knows her knows, Chelsea loves Halloween. So it was a must that her, Jon, and Aiden go to Kennywood Fright Night. Kennywood was a significant time in their relationship, as this is one of the first things the three of them did together as a family. So Jon knew, this was the perfect place. He made sure to have friends there to take pictures and videos. So, as they are standing in front of the spookily lit merry-go-round, Aiden passed off the perfect black diamond ring to Jon as he got down on one knee. The group then proceeded to celebrate the rest of the night by walking through haunted houses and riding the Phantom's Revenge an infinite amount of times. They even had a mild celebrity status at the park that day, since Kennywood employees saw the proposal and posted a photo to their page.
