September, 2013 Working together on the Telemetry Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital, Joe was a Patient Care Technician and Elizabeth a Unit Clerk. After working together for some time, Elizabeth agreed to meet Joe and some of his friends at a local pub quiz, and they were astounded by one another's depth of useless knowledge. ...they began dating almost immediately.

Shortly after they began dating, Joe headed up to Phoenix to study cardiovascular ultrasound. Elizabeth visited often, and began nursing school January 2015, a few months before he returned. They moved in together, Joe went back to work at St. Joseph's Hospital, where later Elizabeth began her first nursing job in 2017. Joe decided to try a traveling job and left Tucson once again, this time for the Sacramento area. Time together and time apart... change was coming.

July 14, 2017 While in California, Joe made a plan... and a good one: Surprise Elizabeth with a proposal next time he saw her. He purchased a ring and waited... and waited. Elizabeth couldn't make it out and the ring was burning a hole in his sock drawer!! Luckily, she was meeting a group of friends in Las Vegas over a weekend... So he grabbed the hardware, met her in Vegas, proposed in a Flamingo hotel room, and hit up the buffet. (It was more romantic than it sounds, you'll have to ask them!) Since the engagement, the couple has moved to San Antonio, Texas where Elizabeth is a registered nurse in interventional radiology at a children’s hospital... the same one that Joe is a pediatric cardiac ultrasound technologist! They are so excited to be having their wedding back in Tucson, and look forward to seeing each and every one of you.
