FAQs

Question

What Time Should I Arrive at the Ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 2PM, so all guests are encouraged to arrive by 1:30PM to ensure that everyone is seated on time. People who arrive late to the ceremony will be asked to wait to enter until the bridal party and bride have made their entrance.

Question

Are Children Welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, all of our Wedding events are Adults Only. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

What Do I Do In Between the Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

The break between a Catholic Wedding Ceremony and the reception is traditionally called a "Catholic gap." This is because the cermony is earlier on in the afternoon to accommodate the usual Saturday Mass schedule. Guests are welcome to use the free time as they wish! Go back to the hotel for a nap, change into your party uniform, or connect with old and new friends at a nearby restaurant or bar. We've listed recommendations on the Things To Do page.

Question

Is There Parking Available?

Answer

Yes! There is a huge parking lot around the back of The Basilica. The entrance to the parking lot is off of Ralph McGill Blvd. There will be plenty of available parking in the front and back of the Reception space, as well as along the street. We encourage you to uber so that you can fully enjoy your time celebrating with us!

Question

I've never been to a Catholic wedding....what should I expect?

Answer

The ceremony will be a Nuptial Service, not a full Mass. There won't be Communion and it should last 30-40 minutes from the start of the Processional to the Recessional.
