Rem and Thang first met at MCEBC in June 2024, when Thang came from Dallas, TX, to serve as a youth pastor at the church Rem was a member of. What began as a simple friendship gradually grew as they spent time getting to know one another and sharing in the same community. Over time, their connection deepened, even as life led them in different directions for a season. Through it all, they remained close, building a strong foundation rooted in faith and understanding. Their engagement was made official with both families on April 11, 2026, marking a meaningful and joyful step forward in their journey together. Their story is uniquely their own, shaped by trust, faith, and shared moments along the way. Each step has brought them closer together, leading them to choose a lifetime side by side.

The groom is the eldest son of Pu Ngun Neih Sawn and Pi Bawi Hlei Kil of Khuamawi, Kalaymyo Township, Myanmar. In pursuit of his calling to ministry, he pursued theological studies in India before continuing his education in the United States, where he is currently undertaking a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree. For the past two years, he has faithfully served as a youth/childrens' pastor at MCEBC.

The bride is the beloved third daughter of Pu Hram Kulh and Pi Ngeih Sung of Sakta Village, Senthang Township, and one of five siblings. Driven by her passion for the holistic aspects of healthcare and helping others achieve meaningful participation in daily life, she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) in Omaha, NE, where she is completing her first year of study with dedication and compassion.
