Beaches & Coastal Walks

Red River Beach (Harwich) Calm waters, soft sand, and easy parking, perfect for families. Hardings Beach (Chatham) A peaceful, scenic beach with long stretches for walking. Seagull Beach (Yarmouth) A classic Cape Cod beach with great views and facilities.

Grab a Bite

The Ocean House (Dennis Port) Upscale dining with ocean views, ideal for a special night out. The outdoor bar is also cute! Brax Landing (Harwich Port) Laid back seafood spot overlooking the marina. Sesuit Harbor Café (Dennis) BYOB and indulge in the best lobster rolls right by the water, one of our favorites and a Cape Cod classic! Sea Dog Brew Pub (South Yarmouth) Known for playing all NFL games and offering local brews!

Sweet Treats

Sundae School (Harwich Port) Old fashioned ice cream parlor with home made flavors. Cape Cod Creamery (Yarmouth) Delicious local flavors named after Cape towns, the Chatham Chocolate Chip is a must!

Antiquing

Maps of Antiquity (Chatham) Specializes in antique maps, prints, and nautical charts. Beautiful for gifts or Cape Cod history lovers. mapsofantiquity.com Where the Sidewalk Ends Bookstore & Antiques (Chatham) A charming mix of books, small antiques, and a café with outdoor seating. Wisteria Antiques (Harwich Port) Beautifully curated European antiques, vintage jewelry, and art. Quaint and walkable from the village. Harwich Antique Center (West Harwich) A classic Cape Cod multi-dealer antique mall with furniture, glassware, collectibles, and more. Windsong Antiques (Harwich) Lovely, sweet shop with mostly glassware, pottery, ceramics, and silverware. Small assortment of silver jewelry also. Ask for the gold charms behind the checkout! Golfing

Bass River Golf Course Public classic Donald Ross‑designed waterfront course in Yarmouth. Dennis Pines Golf Course Public par‑72, 7,000 yd championship course through pine forest, quite challenging. Highland Links Cape Cod’s oldest (1892) true‑links style public course on bluff overlooking Atlantic (9 holes). Cranberry Valley Golf Course Public championship layout winding through cranberry bogs. The Captains Golf Course Two 18‑hole public championship courses in Brewster, solid terrain, classic Cape feel. Wequassett itself does not have its own public golf course, it partners with Cape Cod National Golf Club. You are welcome to play there if you are a member of Cape Cod National, or a registered overnight guest of Wequassett Resort, they arrange your tee time as part of your stay! Be sure to mention you are interested in playing a round or two when you book. Unfortunately Walk-ins or day visitors cannot book a round there.

Downtown Chatham Quintessential Cape Cod charm with cute boutiques, bookstores, and coffee shops. Harwich Port Village A sweet, walkable downtown with shops, live music, and local restaurants.

Scenic Spots

Chatham Lighthouse & Beach A perfect photo op and a beautiful place to soak in the view. Bass River Boardwalk (Yarmouth) A peaceful place to walk and watch the sunset. Cranberry Bog Tours A fun, seasonal way to experience something uniquely Cape Cod.

Fishing & Ocean Adventures

Seal Watching Cruises Depart from Saquatucket Harbor on a 90-minute trip with Monomoy Island Excursions, perfect for spotting playful seals in their coastal habitat. Whale Watching in Provincetown Join Dolphin Fleet or other local operators to see humpbacks, minkes, and fin whales returning to Cape Cod waters each spring. Cape Cod Herring Runs A free and fascinating natural event where thousands of herring swim upstream to spawn, leaping through fish ladders and rushing currents. Late April and early May are prime for striped bass and other seasonal favorites. Top spots include the Cape Cod Canal, Buzzards Bay, and local estuaries for stripers, Outer Cape beaches like Race Point for surfcasting, and Dowses or White Crest Beach for scup and blues. Cast from shore, fish off a pier, or book a charter. Don’t forget your Massachusetts fishing permit!
