Lake Balaton is the largest lake in central Europe, located in central Hungary about 50 miles (80 km) southwest of Budapest. Surrounded by vineyards, volcanic mountains, and thermal spa resorts, Lake Balaton attracts sun-seekers, foodies, music lovers, and watersports fans from neighboring countries to Central Europe's largest lake. Balatonfüred is one of the oldest tourist destinations on the shore of the “Hungarian Sea”. The “capital” of the northern coast is famous for its carbon-acid thermal spring, marina, and a limitless range of recreational activities. Tihany is a jewel of not only Lake Balaton but also of Hungary. Since the nineteen sixties masses of tourists, both Hungarians and foreigners, have been visiting the place. Its main assets are the historical and cultural relics related to the monastery, the unique landscape and the recreational possibilities of Lake Balaton.

Eger is filled with beautifully preserved baroque buildings, it is a jewelry box of a town with loads to see and do. Explore the bloody history of Turkish occupation and defeat at the hilltop castle; climb an original Ottoman minaret; listen to an organ performance at the colossal basilica, or relax in a renovated Turkish bath. Then spend time traipsing from cellar to cellar in the Valley of Beautiful Women, tasting the celebrated Eger Bull's Blood (Egri Bikavér) and other local wines from the cask. Flanked by northern Hungary's most inviting range of hills, the Bükk, Eger also provides nearby opportunities for hiking and other outdoor excursions.

Visegrád is a small town in Pest county, Hungary. It is located on the right bank of the Danube, 30 km from Budapest. It is called a castle town because of the city’s main attractions. One of them is The Royal Palace, the remains of the famous Early Renaissance summer palace of King Matthias I. Another famous attraction is the medieval Citadel (Upper Castle) and the Lower Castle which together make up the double castle system of Visegrád Castle. The Citadel is called Fellegvár in Hungarian which literally means castle among the clouds. Visegrád is said to be one of the most beautiful cities in Hungary with a breath-taking view of the Danube Bend.
