Clearwater Beach is continuously rated as one of the top beaches in America and is known for its soft white sand. The water may be a bit cold in January, but it's a great place to lay in the sun during the day or catch a sunset at night. All across the beach there are also tons of fun water activities like jet skis and parasailing.
Pier 60 is Clearwater's famous pier. It's a great spot for watching a sunset or going fishing. The pier has a nightly sunset festival featuring different local artists and vendors. Note: the pier has an access fee of $1-$10 depending on the activity.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium is about 1 mile from the beach and is famous from the movie Dolphin Tale. Winter, the dolphin without a tail from the movie, was rescued by the Clearwater Aquarium.
Clearwater is known for their grouper sandwiches. Across the beach you'll find many Frenchy's locations, a popular restaurant for a casual lunch or dinner (on the sand at the Rockaway Grill or off the sand at the Original Cafe).
