When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by September 1, 2025. Our vendors need a headcount, and we need time to finalize the fun! If we don’t hear from you by then, we’ll assume you’re cheering us on from afar (and mark you as not attending).

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We kindly ask that you not bring a plus one unless they were specifically invited. Thank you for understanding!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yep! Think cocktail attire with a country twist. The ceremony’s outside, so wear shoes that can handle a little grass. We’re keeping things polished but fun—so dress up a bit, skip the jeans, and come ready to celebrate. One tiny request: please avoid wearing white, ivory, or champagne.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re asking guests to unplug during the ceremony so everyone can be present and enjoy the moment with us. Please silence your phones and refrain from taking photos until after the ceremony. We promise to share all the professional shots!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yep! There’s plenty of parking at the Hobby Farm. If you’d rather ride in with friends, feel free to park at the Effingham VFW and carpool over. Either way, you’ll be just in time for the party.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes. We’re crashing Brickbat Bar and Grill in Teutopolis between the ceremony and reception. Come grab a drink, hang out, and get the party going while we pretend to be models for the camera. Cocktail hour at the VFW begins at 4:30!
