We can narrate our love story through these three Bible verses. First, Mark 11:24 states, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Our love story began similar to Romeo and Juliet's. Similar to Juliet, Alyssa's family opposed our relationship, but we persevered. We surrendered ourselves and our emotions to the Lord, making Him the focal point of our relationship despite our circumstances. Secondly, Isaiah 60:22 declares, 'When the time is right, I, THE LORD, will make it happen.' During this period, Alyssa had to relocate to the Middle East to pursue her dreams while Reinsel was still in university. Thus, commenced a three-year-long long-distance relationship. Despite the inevitable highs and lows, Alyssa’s family eventually embraced our relationship. This verse resonated with us during the pandemic, reaffirming our faith in God’s perfect timing; we trusted that we would reunite. A year later, Reinsel had the opportunity to join Alyssa in the UAE. It was there that our aspirations for one another truly blossomed. Lastly, Ecclesiastes 3:11 affirms, 'He has made everything beautiful in its time.' This verse serves as a reminder of our humble beginnings. All the sacrifices and petitions we offered to Him were worthwhile. We believe that He has penned our love story with pure intention.
