FAQs

The Wedding Website of Reina Alejo and Julius Mariano
We want our wedding to be small, simple, cozy, warm and intimate. We really just want to celebrate our special day with a few of our loved ones without any pretention! We love to travel so it will be our mission to visit and celebrate with our other loved ones in the future! Thank you for understanding, we love you!
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Saturday, August 22, 2026

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail-conservative. We would like to request for our guests to observe the following guidelines respectful of an Iglesia Ni Cristo wedding. For women: no high slits, backless, plunging neckline, nor exposed shoulders. If you have tattoos, please cover them up as much as possible. If you want to consider the color palette we chose for our wedding, it consists of beige, tan, brown, butter, caramel, sage and mustard. Please avoid wearing white as we want to exclusively reserve that color for the bride. Thank you so much!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding ceremony is treated as a worship service. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to be properly seated. Orderliness is strictly observed. Please follow the instructions of the ushers. Men are seated to the left, women to the right.

Question

Can I bring and take pictures with my phone?

Answer

Absolutely! However, please silence your phones before entering the chapel for the ceremony. During the procession, kindly refrain from sticking your phones out into the center aisle. We would like to reserve that space for our photographer and videographer to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments perfectly. Of course, we encourage everyone to take photos and videos during our special day and share it with us! Please and thank you!

Question

Are you accepting gifts?

Answer

While your presence is enough to celebrate with us on our special day, if you are moved to give us a gift, it would be greatly appreciated! Cash or contributing to our honeymoon and home fund is preferred. Thank you so much for your generosity! We love you!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Because we wanted a small, intimate wedding, we chose a venue that can accommodate only up to 50 people. We have carefully considered our guest list. Everyone in the guest list received an invitation. No plus-ones. Thanks for understanding, we love you!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes! Our one and only ringbearer and our one and only flower girl!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors

Answer

The wedding ceremony will indoors, held at the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) chapel of North Hollywood at 14308 Nordhoff St, Panorama City, CA 91402. The reception will be at the Violet Cactus Studio in Burbank, a cozy space with a shaded outdoor patio and indoor space for dinner. 1817 W Verdugo Ave, Burbank, CA 91506.

Question

How do I get to and from the wedding venue.

Answer

The reception venue is less than a 30 minute drive south from the chapel. Google Maps is our go-to navigational app! Check it out for a detailed step-by-step guide on how to get there. There is a small parking lot at the reception venue. You may use street parking or park at the businesses nearby. Please allow at least 10 minutes to arrive before cocktail hour begins to give our vendors ample time to set things up. Thank you!

Question

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

Dinner will be served buffet-style. If you are allergic to something, please inform us as soon as possible so we can coordinate with our caterer. Thank you!

Question

What is the weather typically like?

Answer

Weather in late September in Southern California is typically clear and sunny. Highs go, on average, from 83 to 88 degrees Fahrenheit and lows from 60 to 64 degrees Fahrenheit. As always, it is advisable to bring a layer and flats for the ladies!

Question

Will there be a hotel block available for people coming out of town?

Answer

No po. It's honestly out of our budget. Thanks for understanding, we love you!!
