We are so excited to celebrate with you! To help you make the most of your trip, we’ve gathered some information about the area surrounding our venue. Boerne, a charming Texas Hill Country town, is the closest to Dos Palomas Ranch—just a 20-minute drive away. Below are some of our favorite things to do in and around Boerne, as well as our hometown San Antonio, which is only 45 minutes from the ranch.

Hill Country Mile

Cibolo Nature Center

For all the nature lovers, this is a must-see! We love how peaceful and beautiful the trails are—perfect for an early morning walk or a casual afternoon exploring the local wildlife. You’ll feel so close to nature here.

Boerne City Lake Park

A great spot for a relaxing afternoon by the water, perfect for picnicking, swimming, kayaking, and fishing.

Enchanted Rock State Park

A little further out (about 1.5 hours from Boerne), Enchanted Rock is a stunning granite dome that's popular for hiking and picnicking. The views are amazing!

Cascade Caverns

This hidden gem is such a fun adventure! Enjoy exploring the underground formations, it’s always a cool (literally!) experience, especially on a hot day. Great for kids and adults alike—don’t miss out!

The Shops at La Cantera

If you’re in the mood for a little retail therapy or just want to grab a bite to eat, this outdoor mall has it all. It’s a beautiful spot to shop, dine, and relax, just a short drive from Boerne towards San Antonio.

The Missions are truly a piece of Texas history. We recommend taking some time to visit this UNESCO World Heritage site if you are interested in Texas culture or history, you’ll love this quiet and reflective experience.

The Historic Pearl

This is one of our favorite spots in San Antonio! The Pearl has such a great vibe, with cool shops, amazing restaurants, and a fun farmer’s market on the weekends. You could easily spend a whole day here just exploring and people-watching.

Fiesta San Antonio is a vibrant celebration that happens to line up with our wedding dates! It’s such a fun time to be in the city, with parades, music, and festivities happening all around. If you’re staying a bit longer, we highly recommend checking out the fun.

San Antonio Botanical Garden

One of our favorite places to unwind, the San Antonio Botanical Garden is beautiful year-round. It’s a peaceful escape, filled with gorgeous plants and walking paths.

If you appreciate good wine, the Texas Hill Country is known for its beautiful wineries. There are beautiful vineyards nearby where you can enjoy wine tastings and soak in the picturesque scenery—it’s a delightful way to spend a relaxing afternoon!
