Tony and Michele initially met on two dating apps, first Bumble then on Hinge. Their first date was on a Sunday afternoon at a seasonal oyster bar/docked vessel (The Grand Banks) that overlooks the Hudson River. They got to know each other over drinks and oysters (even though Tony is not fond of them). The date carried into the evening as they watched the sunset together on pier 25. A few moments later, actual fireworks started shooting off over the New Jersey skyline. Tony tried to say he planned them, but Michele didn't buy it, ha! It was a day date the two of them will never forget.
One of the better things to happen in 2020. Tony proposed on a waterfall walk at High Falls Gorge in Lake Placid, New York. He had planned the trip for Michele's birthday, but little did she know he was scheming up all sorts of surprises. Michele happened to be facing down river, gazing at the waterfalls, and also freaking out since other visitors were not following the social distancing protocols. When she turned back to face Tony there he was, down on one knee. Onlookers cheered from higher in the falls, Michele cried happy tears and they were both excited to celebrate. After having a few drinks in town at a rooftop bar on Mirror lake, the two went back to their Airbnb located a few blocks away. When they pulled into the driveway, Michele had another surprise waiting for her on the porch, both of their families!
