After taking in many considerations, we have decided to postpone our wedding reception to October 3rd, 2021. Thank you for all of your support and understanding. This was a very hard decision to make, but we felt like this decision was not only the safest, but would allow us to properly celebrate with everyone. Our meet que was at a college cafeteria. Reilly was instantly drawn in by the man bun, friendship bracelets, and bonding over similar perspectives. Phil was focused on the all the newness of college. After 4 months of becoming fast friends, Phil overcame his nerves and asked Reilly out. Reilly said yes (and then flew across the world for a month)!
Before the magical day (Mar. 14th), Reilly and Phil hinted at many times of how they wanted to spend their lives together. Reilly knew that the proposal would come at some point, but not knowing drove her insane. Phil did not want to give away any details about how and when the proposal would come, and Reilly grew impatient. Phil picked out a ring early in January of 2020, but took a couple of months for the ring to arrive. On the day of the proposal, Phil and Reilly went to one of their favorite restaurants in downtown Madison and she could no longer handle not knowing when the he will propose. She blatantly asked Phil if he would propose soon, or if she should not get her hopes up if he wasn't going to. Phil, who was trying to contain his laughter, finally hinted that she wouldn't have to wait too long before he proposed. Later that day, Phil took an detour to a park that overlooked the city and finally proposed to her, using quotes from her favorite book, Pride and Prejudice. He planned a surprise party in which family and friends. God's timing was perfect in this because this was the last weekend before quarantine took place. They celebrated well into the evening.
