Our Story

Some love stories begin with candlelit dinners, slow dances under the stars, or chance meetings in quaint coffee shops. Ours began in 2010… at a high school party. Reilly and Parker met through mutual friends, and while there was an instant spark, fate had other plans. Because—naturally—both of us decided to leave California for college in different Southern states. Reilly went to North Carolina, Parker to Louisiana. We like to think of this as our “11-year intermission.” Fast-forward to 2021… As with many modern romances, technology stepped in. Yes, our epic reconnection began on… a dating app. Now, Reilly is not exactly the “jump into a first date” type. In fact, she was mentally prepared to delete the app entirely. But then Parker messaged—and within approximately 2.3 seconds, he asked her out for the very next night. Reilly, still skeptical, agreed… but arrived 30 minutes late. (A theme that would continue throughout our relationship.) Meanwhile, Parker patiently warmed up the bar at Union and Larder, ordered some fantastic red wine, and waited. When Reilly walked in, Parker instantly recognized her—and was not surprised that she was just as beautiful as she’d been ten years earlier. One bottle became two. Two became “Oh, we’re closing the bar down.” And just like that, it was game over. The San Francisco Chapter… From that night on, we were pretty much inseparable. Parker introduced Reilly to the San Francisco food scene (yes, “scene” not “seen”—though Parker did see a lot of food disappear quickly). He wooed her with his cooking skills, and discovered she would happily eat anything he made—especially his incredible pasta from scratch and perfectly rolled tortellini, a skill Reilly is still working on. In return, Reilly expanded Parker’s palate in other ways—namely by increasing his tolerance (and love) for tequila and mezcal. What started as the occasional margarita evolved into a standing tradition: mezcal on the rocks after a long work week. It’s now their version of date night pre-gaming—equal parts classy and questionable. Parker never thought he’d leave the city—until Reilly came along. With her suburban roots and love for warmer weather and bigger yards, she eventually persuaded him to cross the Golden Gate Bridge. They set up camp in Sausalito, and now Tiburon—where the views are almost as good as Parker’s cuisine. Along the way, Reilly even took up golf with Parker. Now, vacations include tee times, more tequila, and the occasional “practice swing” that may or may not actually connect with the ball. Parker swears it’s made trips better than he could have imagined. Now, Here We Are… We are beyond excited to celebrate with you—our incredible family and friends—as we start the next chapter of our love story in the city where it all began. From an 11-year gap to a lifetime together, we’ve learned two things: 1. Timing is everything. 2. Always order the good wine… but never underestimate the power of a good mezcal.
