Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

As much as we love all of your kiddos, this is an adults only event. We hope that our wedding will provide an opportunity for our guests to take a night off from parental duties and let loose.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we simply can’t afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Invites are limited to the names exclusively listed in your party.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You're in the right place! Invited guests can RSVP directly on our wedding website. Simply click the RSVP tab, enter your first & last name, and indicate your attendance. Don't forget to mention any dietary restrictions! If you received an invite, but are unable to RSVP, it's likely due to a discrepancy with your name as it appears on the guest list. Please reach out to get this corrected.

No, we do not have a wedding registry, as we have everything we need for our home!

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms for November 6th & 7th at Danfords Hotel & Marina in Port Jefferson. Please see the Accommodations tab for a link and the room block code to make your reservation.

Will there be transportation between the hotel and the venue?

Answer

Yes, we want everyone to relax and safely enjoy our big day. We have arranged a complimentary shuttle to bring guests from Danfords to The Old Field Club and then back to the hotel at the conclusion of the reception. The shuttle will depart from Danfords at 3pm and make return trips beginning at 9:30pm.

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

The venue is prepared to accommodate all dietary restrictions and there will be vegetarian options available. Please let us know of any such dietary restrictions on the RSVP.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4pm. We are asking for guests to arrive at 3:30pm.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be indoors, but the outside deck area will be open and available during the cocktail hour and reception.

Is there on-site parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is valet parking available and plenty of parking space.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

During the ceremony, we ask that you be present and refrain from taking your own pictures. Having too many phones out trying to take pictures can be a distraction and interfere with the photographer being able to capture the moment and get the best possible pictures.

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-Formal attire is best. We want everyone to be comfortable. For men, suits or a dress shirt and slacks are best. For women, gowns, dresses, pantsuits or similar are all welcome.
