Question

When are the happy couple going to be in paradise?!

Answer

We will be arriving Sunday, October 20th, and leaving Monday, October 28th. There is a three night minimum stay for the resort, but feel free to come and go whenever makes the most sense for you!

Question

Do I need a Passport? Any other documents?

Answer

Yes! Please also make sure that your passport does not expire for at least 6 months AFTER your arrival in the DR (new rule as of May 2024). Your passport must also have at least 2 blank pages. Please visit https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/apply.html if you need to apply or renew! You will also need to fill out the Dominican Republic's Eticket: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/ To save time during the arrival procedure, we recommend filling out the form at least 72 hours before the trip. If you are traveling as a family, you must fill out the form with the data of all the family members who will be traveling, up to 7 total people. A single QR code will be generated for the family. For more information, please visit https://www.godominicanrepublic.com/travel/entry-requirements/

Question

What's the Weather like in Punta Cana in October?

Answer

Welcome to paradise! You can expect highs of 90 and lows of 75

Question

What the heck does "beach formal" mean, you weirdos?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and families, and invited everyone to join us in dressing to impress! We'd ideally love for women to be in long dresses, but considering the temperatures, we would encourage them to be light and/or flowy. For men, we would encourage lightweight suits (ie: linen) or khakis and a lightweight jacket. Note that our ceremony will be in the sand, and the rest of the evening will be on solid surfaces, so keep that in mind when considering footwear. Please see the photo at the top of this page for inspiration!

Question

Is there any kind of dress code at the resort?

Answer

There are 8 restaurant options at Majestic Mirage, two of which do require a collared shirt, long pants, and closed toe shoes for men (L'Essence Restaurant, a French gourmet restaurant with an extensive wine collection, and La Rinascita, an Italian restaurant with a martini bar.) For all of the other dining options a cover-up/t-shirt and shoes will be required during the day, and shirts with sleeves are required for dinner. For more information about the dining options, please see the gastronomy section of: https://www.majestic-resorts.com/en/our-resorts/majestic-mirage-punta-cana
