Hilton Head’s wide, flat beaches are perfect for long walks or morning bike rides along the shoreline. If you’re staying with us at The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa, you’ll have direct beach access right from the property. Nearby public access points on the north end include Folly Field Beach Park, which offers parking and easy entry to the beach. For those staying at the Courtyard by Marriott, Coligny Beach Park is the most central access point, with shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Hilton Head is best experienced from the water. Consider booking: A dolphin cruise A sunset boat charter Kayaking or paddleboarding through the marsh There's plenty of places to choose from, but here's a link to our favorite kayak rental.
One of the best ways to see the island is on two wheels. With over 60 miles of bike paths, you can ride everywhere from shaded oak-lined trails to directly along the beach at low tide.
Spend an afternoon strolling the marina, browsing shops, and enjoying the water views in Sea Pines. Climb the iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse for panoramic views of the water and the 18th hole of Harbour Town Golf Links, one of the island’s most legendary. Sunset along the water is especially beautiful this time of year. *Harbour Town is located inside Sea Pines Resort and requires a $9 per vehicle day pass for entry (subject to change).
If you have extra time, historic Savannah is just about 45 minutes away and makes for a wonderful afternoon of cobblestone streets, architecture, and incredible dining.
While you’re on the island, we would love to host you at one of our CRAB Family restaurants. October is a beautiful (and busy) time on Hilton Head, so we recommend making reservations in advance. You can book online through each restaurant’s website or call and mention you’re in town for the Reilley/Fox wedding, and our team will be happy to take great care of you.
