Pastry Chef/Kickass Human Born in Baltimore, Maryland but have lived in Northern Virginia most of my life. I have two teenage sons, one stepson, 17, and one birthed, lol, who is 16. I’ve been married to my husband Danny for six years now but we have been together 11 almost 12 years total. Best Friends for life!!! Baking is definitely my top favorite thing to do. But cooking savory food is just as fun. It’s been fun working with Maddie and baking. I’m super happy we met at the 2530 coffee shop. I’ve grown super close to her in such a short time but love her very much!!! All and all that’s sums it up about me. If you hear the loudest person in the room, or someone’s dropping a TON of F-bombs…..it’s your girl!! Don’t let the blue hair, and tattoos scare ya ;) I promise I’m a nice person!!

I’m Maddie’s little sister Avery Grace, and I’m 7 yrs. old. My first memory: Maddie rocking me & singing to me when I was very small. I loved those times. Now she plays with me when she can and even keeps my secrets! I like playing with my friends, puzzles, Pop-Its, jump rope, arts & crafts, bike riding, snow sledding, swimming, folding the laundry, going to Claire’s Boutique with Mom (my BFF), eating ice cream and watching YouTube! I love school and math, and when I grow up, I want to be a teacher like Maddie! My favorite Princesses are Rapunzel, Cinderella, Belle, Elsa & Anna, but my very favorite movie is “Tangled”! I had super fun last summer going to Clearwater Aquarium with Maddie & John, to see Winter the dolphin! I can’t wait to be in their wedding, and wear a fancy dress, pretty shoes, and carry flowers (maybe with Bear!!

As her cousin, I have known Maddie since she was a baby. I remember being thrilled to meet her for the first time. Family holidays and get-togethers were even more fun with a younger cousin to play with. Time spent with her was made more exciting with her passion for animals (big and small) and her love of being in the water. As adults, we share a lot of the same interests. We both treat our dogs like they are our children, and we can both be found creating yummy concoctions in the kitchen.

Hi! I've known Maddie since she was a baby... I'm her older cousin! Some of the earliest memories together include catching fireflies in the backyard, swimming at the neighborhood pool, and enjoying some seriously competitive games of PomPom with the rest of the Bascom crew. I currently live in New Hampshire and between snowboarding in the winter and spending summers by the lake soaking in the sun, you could catch me outside all year long!

I’ve had the (un)fortunate pleasure of being John and Maddie’s roommate since June 2021. John and I hit it off immediately with our crippling addiction to being nerds and our ability to talk about literally anything for hours. We like to have very respectful, and in no way salty, games of Magic the Gathering and Tekken! Maddie is cool too I guess <3

Grandmother of the Bride

Maddie’s arrival in the world magically made me a grandmother ~ at one, she named me Gamma! Mae was initially raised in our home, with strong family traditions and Christian values, and I’m proud she continues to celebrate them, and all things breathing: from butterflies to plants, bunny Oliver to silly pup Bear! I’m a native New Englander, with a hardy Yankee heritage, 4 younger brothers, and maple sap running through my veins! We go home often, reinforcing ties that bind us back to our forefathers and it delights me that all our kiddos enjoy these reunions! It brings great joy to see Maddie so happy, and to participate in the behind-the-scenes planning of this wedding! Remember, it’s the marriage that is most important, says this old married lady for 48+ years. The life and love between a man and a woman is sacred. May God bless Maddie and John’s union!

Hey Y’all! I’m Maddie’s Mom, so obviously I’ve known her since before her birth, as well as her younger brothers Cody and Ryan, and little sister Avery! They are the loves of my life, and they all enjoy swimming, fishing and softball/baseball as much as I do! And they all tolerate my crazy love for the Dallas Cowboys! We juggled a lot together those early years, but until recently, for the last 10 years, I’ve been a stay-at-home Mom. I’ve learned to take all the curveballs life throws at me with inner strength and courage, just as Maddie does today. Watching my #1 daughter grow, succeed, and now educate, has been nothing less than amazing and inspiring! I love Maddie more than she knows, and John as well, and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for them in their journey through life together!
